2017 MLB Spring Training Information

2017 MLB Spring Training Information is right here, all in one place, all the answers you need, so let’s get started. The first team to report to the 2017 spring training facilities is the Arizona D-Backs on February 13th.  All other teams follow suit on the 14th or 15th.  Pitchers and catchers report on the 13th, and their first workout is also on the 13th.  Full squads report on the 16th for the Diamondbacks and all other clubs on the 17th or 18th, and the first full squad workout will be held on the 17th.

Teams don’t have much time to get ready for the first Spring Training game, which is scheduled for February 24th in the Cactus League and February 23rd in the Grapefruit League.

And then things get a bit sticky for the 2017 MLB Spring Training.  The World Baseball Classic begins on March 7 and continues through March 22.  Pool games will be held in Tokyo and South Korea, and the championship game will be held in Dodger Stadium on March 22nd.  All of this means, of course, that many Major League ballplayers will be shuttling to and fro from the WBC to the Spring Training facilities, something the MLB sanctions but is not necessarily fond of.

After March 22nd, all eyes return, exclusively, to the 2017 MLB spring training sites, with the first regular season date being April 2 when three games are scheduled, and April 3 for a full-schedule of games.

This all means, of course, that players right this very moment are doing workouts with teammates and trainers, getting ready for spring training to start in three weeks.  They are making arrangements for relocation, looking for relocation peace of mind, and working out all the logistics of the move to Arizona or Florida, where the next seven weeks of their lives will be lived.

And then it’s PLAY BALL!
