An experienced real estate agent not only knows the market where a home is located, but they also know what comparative homes are selling for.  An experienced real estate agent can suggest a price for your home that is not colored by emotion but instead is laced with reality.

Ask yourself this question:  do you want to sell your home in a reasonable amount of time at a realistic price, or do you want to sit and watch as your home remains on the market at an inflated price?

The temptation is always there for a homeowner to skip  the real estate agent, save the fees, and sell their home themselves, but in most cases it would be a mistake.  Ask around, find an agent who is familiar with your local real estate market and has the knowledge that you need, and then trust that agent to do his/her job.
