The Homes of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker
Divorce is messy business. Three years after a fairytale wedding in a French castle outside of Paris, news broke this week that Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria filed for divorce from San Antonio Spurs basketball star Tony Parker. Although Longoria and Parker signed a prenup, dividing their many assets is sure to be a prime-time drama that will only be complicated by the couples’ many real estate investments, both in the United States and internationally. Tony and Eva are no strangers to Texas living. Eva was born in the Lone Star state and purchased a home there. Meanwhile, in 2002 when he was just 19, Parker purchased his first home, paying $588,000 in the “Champions Estates/Stone Oak” section of San Antonio. Parker unloaded his bachelor pad for $840,777 in 2009.
Simultaneous to the sale of Parker’s first home, the newlyweds rented this home in the prestigious Anaqua Springs Ranch neighborhood outside of San Antonio, a gated community of 1- to 4-acre custom homesites. It appears, however, that they didn’t have to go far to find the location of their next home. The couple is believed to have purchased the lot immediately behind their rental, and commissioned a custom builder to construct their dream home.
Construction began on their $7 million, 10,000-square foot compound in 2008 and is reported to include a guest house, a custom basketball court with the Spurs logo filling the key (see below), a volleyball court, a tennis court, a pool and a mini water park — plenty of room and amenities for the family they hoped on starting.
If the dream home is listed for sale as a result of the divorce, more interior photos are sure to emerge.
