How is the Real Estate Market in April 2015

How is the real estate market doing?  Is it a good time to sell? Is it a good time to buy?

Those are the questions we hear most often at Sportsrelocation.com.  In fact, I would be willing to bet that few days go by when we don’t hear a variation of that question.

How is the real estate market doing?  It’s doing!

Listen, there are so many variables that come into play, that it is almost an impossible question to answer.  Location, location, location……interest rates….state of the economy….condition of the home….did I mention location?

I’ve seen some fabulous homes during good times sit on the market for months.  I’ve seen some not-so-fabulous homes sell in days.  I’ve seen a flurry of activity during horrible market conditions, and I’ve seen practically nothing move during great market conditions.

The point of all this is to say you just never know.  There are some markets in Florida right now where you can’t find a home to buy. There is practically no supply and a plethora of demand.  Conversely, I’ve seen other markets where there were too many homes and not enough buyers.

What’s the bottom line?  Work closely with a professional.  Find a real estate agent who is familiar with the market, who has a track record of success, and who has a reputation of being a “hands-on” agent who will be with you every step of the process.
